Hello, I’m interested in bird watching, what does that consist of beside learning the information about the birds? Do you use special equipment, do you go to special places, do you have certain techniques?

I saw some birds sitting on the frozen birdbath yesterday during our first snow of the year, and it made me wonder how birds get water in the winter, and how do they get food? (Not supplied by feeders or people.) I was very curious as I watched these birds as they seemed to be a bit clueless since the weather changed so quickly.

I have taped shilouttes of large black birds on the windows to scare them off, but it´s not working. Is there anything else that I can tape or maybe a sound system that issues sound waves to keep them away. Anything?

I’m doing a project for my science class, and we’re researching the camouflage of birds for a lesson that we’re teaching some 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from various schools. I would appreciate all the help that I can get.
Thanks!

It’s mesmerizing to see fish act as one to avoid being eating by sharks or birds flocking together and flying through the air switching directions and choosing landing spots…How do they choreograph it?

Watch a flock of birds fly - they all fly together and change direction simultaneously. Schools of fish do the same thing. Humans don’t though - they get into collisions. Explanation?

I fill the feeder. The first day, there are no birds. The next day, there are dozens. Is it smell? Sight? Some high-tech device that they purchased at Radio Shack? I looked around on the Internet for an answer, but could find nothing definitive. Any bird-lovers out there who can solve this mystery for me?

I'm doing this my husband. He wants to see a bird that flys south for the winter knows when to fly north for the mating season. Example: flys red Breasted Robin South for the winter period and then return north in spring in advance to the nest. What instincts, or what in nature says the birds to postpone the North? Both we thank him for any and all meets in advance.

Once upon time, there was a bird that has landed on a tree. The bird had noticed a group of birds on the same tree. Said? of? â hello one hundred? of? of birds. One of the birds responded? of that? We are not â percent, but if we added up the total number over the same number of us over half of us most of us quarter more you, then the total number will be one hundred? of? of birds. So, the poor bird has decided to work on. What was the number of birds on that tree?
