I have a cat that keeps getting outside even though we try not to let her out. The problem is that our cat likes to hunt birds. We have two cats and our outdoor cat is fine. But our indoor cat seems to feel she has to leave presents for us at our front doorstep. This morning, I had to dispose of 3 more dead birds.

With my work schedule, I’m not home much, and I’m sick and tired of cleaning up dead birds on my front doorstep. She doesn’t even eat them, she’s just killing them!

Anyone else get their cat to stop this behavior?
When you have your hands full of items when you go in and out of the house, it’s not always possible to grab a small cat that can run between your legs.

I have 3 cats that live outside and the birds keep eating their food and pooping in their bowls. I put out a fake owl to try and scare them away but they still ate the food and pooped all over the owl. Its really gross and I cant think of what else to do. Any ideas?

My cats kills alot of birds aswell as other animals.
She even killed my neighbors finches. But I never told them.
Now she is beging to go after birds of pray. Can I stop her?
At least she brings them to me as a proof of her affection as grusom as that sounds.
I’ve tried bells and it dosen’t work. It made her a better killer!
My neighbors keep their finches outside during the day time. I let her out cause I have another cat indoor that she positivily hates.

He was a stray and we decided to keep him. We took him to the vet over a month ago, so he has received all of his shots and is in a healthy condition. However, every so often he keeps killing birds and bringing them into the house. I’ve heard that this can be a sign of appreciation for taking care of him, however how can we train him to stop?

Also, are there any dangers in him killing these birds and bringing them into the house?
