How can I attract birds to my bird feeders?

Brokn asked:
Several of my neighbors have feeders so the birds aren’t looking at mine. I have 4 feeders up, one with thistle, a suet feeder, a platform feeder and a tube feeder. I also have a birdbath out for them but its been a week and I haven’t had any takers.

What are those brown birds on telephone wires?

Donna S asked:
I don’t know my birds too well, so I’m curious. There are many of these birds, and they perch side by side on telephone pole wires. I’ve also seen them in my yard. They are bigger than house sparrows and appear overall brown. It is always a fairly large flock of them. I have a bird reference book but am not having any luck trying to match these birds with any of them in the book. Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

What is the best thing to do for baby birds once they fall from their nests?

We have a large spruce tree in our yard and each spring many brids build nests in it. There is also a nest of baby birds on the front porch. From many years of living here I know that soon enough the baby birds jump, fall or get pushed from the nest. Some survive. Some don’t. I cannot take care of all these birds as well as its mother. What is the best thing to do for the babies so that nature can take its best course?

I live in Paris, during winter it doesn’t fall far below 0C for more than 2 weeks. I would dearly love to keep these birds but I really need to know how easy it is and whether they are as hardy as the seller has told me. The price they quote for a Pair is 1,650 Euros the pair!
How easy is it for them to mate?
Very importantly do they make a lot of noise?
Do people steel these birds?

I am talking about the birds seen commonly on Florida and Mexico beaches that run with the waves. You see them digging in the sand for something but I don’t know what.

Is there a way to fix a baby birds legs?
Filed Under Birds | 5 Comments
Clarissa! asked:
I don’t remember what it’s called, but one of my baby birds legs have grown to stay spread out. I read on the internet that this happens when they are kept on a flat surface for too long as they grow. I am still hand feeding this baby bird, but I think he might stay this way, but I don’t know why because he wasn’t always on flat surfaces, anyway, is there a way to fix his legs? He’s a Quaker.
He’s no younger than 10 weeks.
